Clone of the Hornby Skewes Bass Booster
The company "JHS" created by John Hornby Skewes and his wife Madge was born in 1965 in Garforth, England. Known for their Zonk Machine, a fuzz used by Ritchie Blackmore in the late '60s.
We can trace the Bass Booster, a bass guitar effect on a 1967 catalog:
